CONSTRUCTION OF LIFT TRAY

A Lift tray consisits fixed and movable perforated plates and several stoppers.

Range of minimum perforated ratio is between 0 to 20% and that of maximum perforated ratio is 20 to 60%. Shape of holes will be circle, square, triangle and so on.

Features of LIFT TRAY

  1. Wide operational range
    The lifting mechanism of an upper sieve plate makes it possible to operate from 0.5 to 2.5 m/sec of vapor speed in the column. A column diameter at 2 m/sec could be reduced by a quarter to half.
  2. Low pressure drop
    Depends on the minimum and maximum perforation ratio the pressure drop of the tray could be very lower than that of conventional trays. And pressure drop of the LIFT TRAY should be almost constant through the operational range as shown in figure 1.
  3. High through put
    As you noticed from the features of 1 and 2 a diameter of a column could be reduced by half compare to a conventional tray.
  4. High efficiency
    Bubbles between two sieve plates are easily divided into many bubbles and it makes the tray effective.
  5. Simple structure and free maitenance
    The LIFT TRAY is very simple and without down comer. Simple structure makes maintenance free.。
